Older now, Cedrella isn't necessarily as approachable as she once was. Naivety has worn off, and she is a fully grown woman with her own opinions and piece of mind. She doesn't agree with senseless murder, but she is a complete proponent of blood purity inside of the wizarding world. Muggles, to her, are an inferior species and should not be allowed to breed together. This doesn't make her an evil person, per say, it's just how she was raised. As a sly Slytherin who learned that she was very good at getting what she wanted while at Hogwarts (and especially afterwards), her moral judgement could be considered pretty questionable.
However, she's not heartless. She has a very deep relationship with each of her siblings, her parents, and her fiance. She is caring underneath her social facade, and often enjoys treating her loved ones to special occasions and gifts when she can. She enjoys receiving gifts as well- she is a woman of complete luxury. She takes her lifestyle for granted and never wishes to leave it. In order to keep bloodlines pure, there needs to be enough people to match up and fill family trees and well as all of wizarding society. The Yaxleys were always a gigantic family. Lycon was the middle of seven siblings. He had five, and Cedrella Desdemona was the second, but his first daughter. Naturally, she was spoiled rotten from birth. She never complained about the rules her family had for her regarding her personal appearance and social interactions. It was all part of who they were, and she taught her sister the same rules when it came her time to learn. Being a pureblood was a responsibility as much as it was an honor.
Attending Hogwarts just like every other eleven year old, Cedrella naturally gravitated towards those of her own kind. She was sorted into Slytherin (as if anyone in her family expected any alternative) and quickly made friends with other young women of prominent birth. She was very happy at school- she enjoyed learning, mostly reading, and took History of Magic all seven years that she attended school. She was an expert, and the pride of Professor Binns, when it came time for her to graduate. Also picked up during her time at Hogwarts was her long-term love interest Rosier, in her year and house. They were nearly inseparable by the end of their seventh year as they had started to spend more and more time together.
After graduation, Cedrella and Rosier continued to see one another, and Cedrella moved back in with her family. She took a few years off of school spending time with the families in the social atmosphere of the wizarding world. She spent time with Liesel Rookwood, a wellknown benefactor of the Death Eater cause, running all sorts of benefits and galas for vague causes connected to Voldemort, but also for St. Mungo's hospital, raising thousands of galleons for the institution.
By the time she was twenty-five, however, Cedrella was growing restless of her current lifestyle. She enjoyed it, but she was growing tired of her family and others constantly asking her about her relationship with Rosier and the future of their life together. Deciding that it was worth it to take these lines of questioning by owl rather than in person, Cedrella began looking for alternative living arrangements as well as job opportunities. By a stroke of luck, the librarian at Hogwarts was nearing the end of her employment. Coming very highly recommended by Professor Binns, Cedrella took a bookkeeping position as an aide to the head librarian. After a few years, control of the library fell into her lap with the head librarian's retirement. There never was a cleaner library than when it was in her care...
Around the same time as her promotion, she and Rosier decided to make their relationship official and enter into an engagement. It made sense- they were best friends, enjoyed each others' company, and loved their sexual relationship. However, there were small bits in the back of her mind that reminded her that she didn't truly love Rosier. However, that was the way of pureblood families. Learn to love, out of duty.
