STYLE | Appearance is always one of Mary's primary concern. She doesn't have one school trunk, but two, and inside you can find a properly organized slew of makeup, applicators, hair products, brushed, and other beauty and hygienic items. Coming from wealth, one of Mary's absolute favorite things to do is shop. She has a huge shoe collection (that she refuses to call ridiculous, and continues to add to) as well as a stellar wardrobe. She dresses cleanly and in trend, but doesn't show off excessive skin. She is rarely seen outside of a nice pair of flats or high-heels. Even in her school uniform, she wears jewelry or hair pieces to add to the outfit.

VERITASERUM | She's a virgin.
PERSONALITY | For the most part, Mary comes off as a very silly girl, and for good reason. She’s very perky, almost to an obnoxious degree. She can be extremely dramatic. Mary’s emotions are generally much more extreme than the average person’s. She is not just sad, she’s depressed, not just miffed, but aggravated, not just mad, but infuriated, not just happy, but jubilant! Many people find it difficult to keep up with her constant energy, and also with the speed at which she speaks (quite quickly, I assure you). Sure, Mary can be the classic girl who loves to shop and giggle and gossip, but, undoubtedly, she has a good heart (and a brain, she's not an idiot).
She is very loveable once you get to know her, and she also loves. She can be extremely outgoing and will go out of her way to be friendly and find a friend in someone. When meeting someone new, she’ll engage them, and ensure that they become the “best of friends”. But if you scorn her, or one of her friends, you're officially on her shit list. She'll go out of her way to spread rumors, or simply socially isolate you. She likes to think of herself as a pretty popular girl. Aside from the portrayal of herself that she likes to project, Mary complains quite a lot, about anything going on at any particular moment. The temperature or volume of a room could be a complete crisis. What you chose to wear to a certain event could be a disaster. Or the way a boy ignored her new haircut...that could be a conversation for a week.
When it comes to romantic love, though, sometimes it can seem like borderline obsession. When Ella falls in love, on the few occasions that she has, she falls hard. She puts her entire heart and soul into the relationship. She loves sappy, romantic things, and can be quite fussy about such stuff. She’s a bit of diva, the girl that already has her entire wedding planned out because she’s been figuring it out since childhood. Even though she can come off as crazy, she’s friendly and fun, and definitely interesting.

HISTORY | Mary Macdonald made quite sure that she would be the only child her parents would have. She was the loudest baby they could have imagined producing. She was either laughing, screaming, or crying at all times of the day and night. Her parents had to hire a full time nanny to help them control their little bundle of joy. Despite her desperation for attention, her parents were strangely taken with the child (even if they were convinced by her that having another one was too big of a chance to take).
At a young age, they knew that there was something about Mary that was...special. Strange things started to happen. Flowers in the garden would burst open when she walked by. Things would mysteriously change places, things that were out of reach for her, when her parents were out of the room. They put these feelings to rest, however, and entered Mary into school and play groups just like any other child. The incidences occurred every once in a while, but being a part of society in the way the Macdonalds were, they handled them as best they could.
When a strangely-clad representative from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry mysteriously appeared on their front step, things started to make sense. Her parents were floored, and it did take them a couple hours to digest everything that they were hearing about their little girl. Mary was a strange mixture of terrified and elated. She didn't like knowing that she was different, but this made her feel a sense of belonging (even if it was a foreign sense of belonging).
She loved Hogwarts off the bat. It was difficult getting to know students who had been around magic their entire lives, but she met a few here and there who were muggleborn just like she was. She took to some of her classes, but did miserably in most of them. Thankfully, she was pretty good at Charms and most wandwork. Transfiguration, Herbology, Potions, and Care of Magical Creatures were all dreadful because they involved either live animals, gross ingredients, or dirt, all of which were Mary's least favorite things. She enjoyed watching Quidditch, but refused to get back on a broom after her first time. It simply wasn't for her.
Now a seventh year, Mary is trying to decide on a path in life. She's not sure if she wants to go into a Wizarding profession, but if she does, which one? These are questions she'll have to answer over the course of her last year.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE | Julie could barely wait to get back to Hogwarts. Since she lived in the castle for the majority of the year, it was strange to return to a small condo in bustling London, which was so different from her cozy quarters next to the Hospital Wing overlooking the student courtyards. Coming back to Hogwarts was like coming home, and as she stepped through the Hospital Wing for the first time, she inhaled with glee. Getting used to her surroundings again only took a day or so- waiting for the students to get back was almost worse than waiting the whole summer to return to the castle itself.
The sorting ceremony and welcoming feast was always one of her favorite parts of the year. It was exciting to see all the new students excitedly and nervously go through their sorting and walk to their new house tables welcomed by cheering housemates. But the particular point in the night that she enjoyed most was when each member of staff stood and was introduced. It wasn't exciting, really, but it was nice to see all of her coworkers recognized (some of whom she hadn't had a chance to say hello to yet).
They started with professors, introducing each and allowing them to stand and have the students make some mental notes. Julie positively beamed throughout the entire process, but her eyes kept flicking back to one individual, seated much closer to the headmaster than she was (she was at one of the tables turned sideways on either end, but she didn't mind). When it came to be the support staff's turn, she jumped up and gave a wave upon the calling of her own name.
After the feast, there was an hour or so where she was in her office talking to a few students who required regular or special care. Generally, these students were all very polite, interesting, and friendly. That made her job significantly easier and more enjoyable. Despite this, she was anxious for these short appointments to be over with. There was someone that she wanted to go and see.
She didn't bother going to the moving staircases, opting instead to run up the three stationary and longer flights. It was faster, but she approached the officer around the corner slightly out of breath. At the end of the hallway, it had his name burned across the door. She sucked in a breath, and exhaling a smile, rapped three times on the door.
